The browsers are a well known problem. What you see are not memory leaks per se. Firefox or Chrome (I don't know about Safari but I guess it works the same way) intentionally don't release the memory when it believes that it will need it and that you have enough. So this memory consumption is more or less dynamic and depends on the amount of memory that you have in your Mac.
